Welcome back!

I hope everyone’s exams went well and that you had a fantastic winter break. Everyone hopefully has had a chance to settle into their classes, so you know what that means… Book club is back! I hope you’re ready for FUN because we have some things planned for the first meeting of the semester. The schedule is different from last term though so see the new meeting info below.

Meeting times and location

This term we will be going back to meeting in The Gallery, this time it will be Wednesdays at 5:30 PM. The Gallery is located on the second floor of Wyckham House right above the food court through this like, brick arch thingy. I’d say you can’t miss it but I definitely did the first time I went to a meeting there so I’ve added some images below for your reference :)

Upcoming meeting info

Our first meeting of the semester will be similar to last term’s, just for fun! (I mean I guess that’s the point of book club but you get what I mean…) If you haven’t started the book yet don’t worry, we haven’t either. This week we will just be doing some crafts and trivia! If you don’t have enough bookmarks already come on by and you’ll be able to make your own! Plus, more book trivia for those of you looking for redemption after Jeopardy last year.

Meeting schedule

We will begin having proper meetings starting next week. As a reminder, the book we will be reading this term will be If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio.

The book is split up into 5 acts so we will read one act per week. Next week we will be reading up until the end of Act I. See below for our reading schedule if you are wanting to follow along!

Clubs Expo

It’s that time of the semester again, the MRU clubs expo is happening this week, our booth will be there on Wednesday if you want to stop by and say hi! We’ll hopefully get some more people signed up. That being said if you wish to stop receiving these emails, please either unsubscribe using the button located in the footer of this email, or just let us know and we can take you off the list!
