Circe Reading Schedule
At last...
And the winner is…
That’s right folks. The votes are in, stop the count, the people have spoken. It’s official, the book we are going to be reading for the rest of the semester is—finally—Circe by Madeline Miller. It looks like there are a several copies available at the Calgary Public Library, and I believe you might even be able to borrow one from the MRU library as well. See below for the link to it’s Goodreads page.
Reading Schedule
We have the schedule for the next few weeks so you know where we will be at for our weekly discussions. We will be reading somewhere around 100 pages a week. We will still be meeting at 5:30 PM on Wednesdays in the Gallery to discuss, and for this upcoming week we will be discussing up until the end of chapter 7. See below for the complete schedule.655555555555555555555555555 (My cat wanted to say hello so I thought I would leave that in there).
Discussion Questions
Here are the discussion questions for Circe Chapters 1-7.
Why do you think Circe’s mother and sisters treat her with such hostility?
Why might Circe feel different from most other immortals?
What do you think of the notion of a truest self?
Feel free to bring answers to those questions as well as any other thoughts you may have about the book to our next meeting. Or just come and hang out, that works too! That will wrap things up for this week’s email. I hope you all have a lovely weekend and will join us on Wednesday!
Yours truly,
Ty
