This week…

So, important info first! While we did have a great time playing Jeopardy on Thursday, I figured y’all probably want to hear about the upcoming meeting before anything. Locale details are all the same. Same book-time, same book-channel, you get the gist. EB 3013 at 5:30 PM, Thursday, October 31st—Sspooooky. Maybe there’ll be treats, or maybe there’ll be tricks, who is to say? I better at least see some good costumes.

For the book, which is Before the Coffee Gets Cold, by Toshikazu Kawaguchi, our goal is to read one section per week. The book is split into four chapters and this week we will be discussing up until the end of the first chapter, “The Lovers,” which goes to page 83 (*Note: page number results may vary depending on edition of the book*).

Last week…

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who came to the last meeting! Not quite 100+ students but I do think we had a pretty good turnout! And most importantly jeopardy was super fun. I think nearly every question was answered correctly by at least one of the groups so good work! I only knew like half of the answers and I saw all of the correct responses beforehand. And who knew that the one question that did end up stumping everyone would be about the best selling book of all time. Nonetheless, congratulations to team “The Decepticons” for being the closest and winning the game despite being in last place before final jeopardy!
